Study Abroad: The Natural History of The Bahamas

Seventeen students, two professors, one Office of International Affairs staff, and lots of wet and dirty clothes and snorkeling gear returned from the magical island of San Salvador on Sunday, March 19th after spending 10 days in The Bahamas for the new Earth Sciences Study Abroad program. The class was open to majors and non-majors on all of the Ohio State campuses – and we were thrilled to have students with a variety of backgrounds learning about modern and past carbonate environments and the human impact on the island beginning with the Lucayans through present day. You will recognize many familiar locations that we visited if you were so lucky to have been part of the Carbonate Environments and Geology course that traveled to the island in the past.

The class shared some memories and photos here.
