National Academy of Sciences Members

Election to the National Academy of Sciences is one of the highest honors a scientist in the United States can receive, reserved for researchers whose work has fundamentally advanced their field. Members are elected by their peers for outstanding, ongoing achievements and are often called upon to advise the nation on critical scientific questions.

American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellows

AAAS is one of the world’s largest and most influential scientific societies, and election as an AAAS Fellow is a lifetime honor recognizing extraordinary achievements in research, teaching, leadership, and advancing the public understanding of science. Fellows are nominated and elected by other scientists across disciplines, signaling broad, national recognition of their impact.

American Geophysical Union Fellows

AGU Fellows are selected from a global community of Earth and space scientists for exceptional contributions—breakthrough discoveries, innovations, or sustained leadership that have changed how we understand our planet. Only a small fraction of AGU members are ever named Fellows, making this one of the most prestigious honors in the geosciences.

Geological Society of America Fellows

GSA Fellowship is an honor “bestowed on the best of our profession,” recognizing a sustained record of distinguished research, teaching, and service to the geoscience community. Fellows are elected by the society’s council after rigorous peer evaluation, marking them as trusted leaders in their fields.
