SES students place in poster competitions
With the end of the autumn semester comes the end of the 2021 conference meetings. Many of our students, faculty, and staff presented at various in-person and virtual professional conferences this year.
Two students received awards for their conference presentations.
Graduate student Zhaozhe Chen (Frank) presented at the Water Management Association of Ohio Annual Meeting and was awarded 1st Place of the Best Student Paper competition. Frank is advised by professor Ozeas Costas, and you can learn more about their research by checking out this article from the June 2020 Alumni News Notes.
In addition, congratulations to undergraduate Molly Hunt, who was announced as the winner of the Paleontological Society's Undergraduate Research Presentation competition at the 2021 meeting of the Geological Society of America! Molly's presentation was entitled "Comparative Analysis of Body Size Evolution Within Pocket Gophers (Rodentia, Geomyidae), and is currently advised by Dr. Jonathan Calede!
