The SES Alumni & Friends Board Meeting took place on Zoom on October 23, 2020. We welcomed three new members to the board: Sandra Eberts, Program Science Coordinator, and Hydrogeologist, USGS Columbus; Mario Gutierrez, Research Geoscientist, ExxonMobil; and Richard Salman, Retired National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Director Office of Geomatics. This year, Natural Sciences and Mathematics Dean Susan Olesik paid a special visit to the meeting, chatting with us about the students, online education and her take on the College of Arts & Sciences. We were also able to discuss the UARC Geodesy initiative, Switch Energy, and a potential virtual field camp option. We hope to meet in person as soon as we are allowed!
