Hi! My name is Carmi, and I am currently a Graduate Teaching Associate in the School of Earth Sciences. I am an AGU Bridge Fellow and FIELD Fellow, and have experience working for the Delaware Geological Survey, the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH, DC), the Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH), the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural (Santo Domingo), and the National Science Foundation. My research interests lie at the intersection of invertebrate paleoecology, museum collections, and geoscience education. I am also passionate about broadening representation in the earth sciences, and have worked on committees for the Geological Society of America and the Paleontological Society to develop programming and protocols. Currently, I serve as the Graduate Division Representative for Earth History in SES, Graduate Recruitment and Funding Chair for OSU SACNAS Chapter, and Student Representative for the Paleontological Society.
Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to chat research or career exploration. I have benefitted from great mentorship in my journey thus far and am happy to share what I've learned with others.
