Professional and Technical Work

I am the founder of Polaris Geospatial Services, a company that provides solutions to geospatial problems with a focus on their geodetic aspects. We are currently focused on least-squares adjustment software development. Other potential products and services include custom software development, geodetic engineering solutions, and research work involving the following:

  • Custom geodetic and surveying least-squares adjustment solutions
  • Deformation monitoring solutions
  • Geospatial data sampling and analysis
  • Specialized surveying projects
  • Training and instruction in geodetic theory and applications
  • Agricultural drainage software Research

While working full time in industry, I continue pursuing my interest in scientific aspects of geodesy by publishing in peer-review journals and by giving presentations at conferences on geodesy and applied mathematics and statistics.

Teaching

I have taught at The Ohio State University as an adjunct professor in the College of Engineering, teaching "Introduction to GPS: Theory and Applications" to graduate and undergraduate students. In The School of Earth Sciences at Ohio State, I have taught the first semester of Adjustment Computations to graduate students. Specialties C++, geodesy, network adjustments, GNSS, GPS, land surveying, mathematical optimization, least-squares adjustments, agricultural land leveling Software LaTeX, MATLAB, Visual Studio, GMT, Gnuplot, various Microsoft products
