SES Assistant Professor Alex Michaud is a recipient of the 2026 Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award. This is an annual award given by Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry in the Office of Academic Enrichment. The award “honors individuals who have demonstrated success in mentoring undergraduates in their research and/or creative inquiry endeavors, as nominated by the students they have impacted with their exceptional mentoring.”  Dr. Michaud was one of only three recipients of the award across the university. Senior Vice Provost Patrick Louchouarn presented the award to Dr. Michaud at the annual undergraduate research awards event.
