Gómez group heads to Argentina
Between October 5 and 13 the research group from the Central Andes GNSS Project in Argentina, lead by Demián Gómez, performed maintenance tasks to continuous GNSS stations in the Argentine Precordillera in San Juan, Argentina. The team members visited seven continuous GNSS stations and downloaded data, upgraded solar panels and batteries, and installed cellular communications on four of the seven sites. These continuous GNSS stations are essential to improve our understanding of the regional geodynamics in the Precordillera and how the Andean eastern fault structures interact with the Nazca-South America megathrust.
