
Title: Monsanto’s Past and Our Food Future
Abstract: Years ago, a St Louis chemical firm turned seed giant said it had the answer to feeding a hungry world in the era of climate change. In 1996, that company introduced the first genetically engineered commodity crops, changing the face of global agriculture forever. Now, more than twenty-five years later, we’ll discuss what history can teach us about the promises Monsanto made and the future of food.
