Dear Alumni:
We had a fantastic response to our survey of interest for the 75th field camp alumni reunion in 2022! Thank you all for your input.
The 75th field camp reunion committee is in the midst of planning the event details. We will have a document with the trip details, schedules, prices, policies, etc. by mid-January. In that document, there will be information and instructions for alumni to send us their pre-registration fee to hold their spot for the event.
In order to assist you in planning on and around the alumni trip, here are the details we can provide at this time:
Wednesday, June 8th: Arrival in Ephraim and evening ice breaker. Lodging @ Ephraim Willow Creek Inn or local apartment complexes.
Thursday, June 9th: Sanpete Valley/Wasatch Plateau geology field stops. Lodging @ Ephraim Willow Creek Inn or local apartment complexes.
Friday, June 10th: Depart early morning towards Bryce Canyon City. Geology stops as we pass through the Marysvale Volcanic Province. Lodging @ Best Western Ruby Inn in Bryce Canyon City.
Saturday, June 11th: Marysvale Gravity Slide Complex field stops. Lodging @ Best Western Ruby Inn in Bryce Canyon City.
Sunday, June 12th: Early departure back to Ephraim.
We will make all the lodging reservations for the whole group for the nights of June 8th through June 11th so you don’t need to make your own sleeping arrangements.
Breakfast will be provided by the hotels and we will have boxed lunches and catered dinners for everyone on the dates of June 9th through the 11th.
Transportation during field trips, to/from Bryce Canyon and all other related reunion events will be provided for the duration of the reunion. Please note we are making every effort to provide transportation from Salt Lake City airport to Ephraim and back, however it is unknown at this time whether this will be possible. We will keep you posted on this.
For anyone planning personal travel before/after the reunion, and/or alternative vehicle arrangements, please coordinate with us before committing to plans (millan.2@osu.edu). We will do our best to accommodate your plans, but note we have to have a logistically feasible plan for the entire group, which may impose some limitations.
Thank you all for your interest in this event and we hope to see many of you in Utah next summer!!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
The 75th Alumni Reunion Committee,
Mike Braunagel, Ashley Griffith, Shelley Judge, Cristina Millan & Terry Wilson
