Undergrad in Antarctica: Elsa Saelens Goes Where Few Others Have Gone

Elsa Saelens is a BS student in the School of Earth Sciences. This past summer she had the opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Antarctica with SES professor and director Berry Lyons where she studied the geochemical variations of streams within the dry valleys of McMurdo. Freezing temperatures and non-stop sunshine didn’t discourage her; Elsa says she cannot wait to go back.
