Congratulations to Earth Sciences Professor Dr. Lonnie Thompson, and Department of Geography Professor Dr. Ellen Mosley-Thompson for being awarded The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Climate Change.
The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Awards recognize world-class research and cultural creation, prizing contributions of broad impact for their originality and theoretical significance. The Thompsons will be receiving the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Climate Change which honors fundamental contributions in understanding and confronting this global challenge of the 21st century.
The award with a cash prize will be awarded to the Thompson at a ceremony this coming summer in Spain.
