SOLUTIONS FOR CORAL REEFS AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Coral reefs are in crisis. Increases in ocean temperature and acidification threaten the persistence of coral reefs this century. Yet some corals are more resilient than others. Corals that feed more tend to grow more, recover faster, and die less. Here I present new research findings showing the efficacy of my patented UZELA technology at enhancing coral feeding, growth, and survivorship. This research leverages technology intervention, biogeochemical analyses, and restoration strategies to help save coral reefs. I will finish my talk with a brief overview of my leadership experience and values.
