Description: Classification of errors; measures of dispersion; variance and covariance; propagation of errors; weights, observations, and normal equations; algorithms and examples, weighted and fixed constraints; statistical tests; error ellipses.


Prereq: Math 1172, 2153, 2173 or 254 or equiv; and 2568, 4568, or 572 or equiv. Not open to students with credit for GeodSciM 650 or 651.
