Description:
This course introduces students to earth sciences. Topics include earth processes and human impacts; the structure and composition of the earth, plate tectonics, rock & water cycles, energy & mineral resources, and climate change.

Autumn 2021 and after: Add EarthSc 1200 for Physical Science GE lab credit. 

Autumn 2022 and after: Add EarthSc 1200 to fulfill the GE Foundations: Natural Science requirement.

Prerequisites: Math 1075 or above, or ACT Mathematics Subscore of 22 or higher, or Math Placement Level R or better. Not open to students with credit for 1100.
