Christena M. Cox has a wide range of experience in the geology and Earth Sciences. She spent over 15 years in the Oil and Gas Industry working as an Exploration Geologist and Geophysicist. She worked extensively in the Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountains. Christena has worked in science and educational publishing for the last 15 years. She spent 8 years at McGraw-Hill as a Science Editor and is currently a Freelance Science Editor and Writer. She has editing and written portions of numerous middle science, high school, elementary and college textbooks and materials. Her research interests include modern and ancient carbonate systems, and the history of the Western Cordillera.
